And so, after scouring every CVS, Walgreens, Target, etc. in the area; and after scanning the official website, it has become horribly clear:
Revlon New Complexion One-Step compact makeup, my tried-and-true for years and years, has been discontinued.
Don’t be fooled by the remnant product in the odd pharmacy aisle, for there, you may find shades such as Caramel or Toast, but for the see-throughishly pasty Polish-Rican … there’s just … nothing.
So it may be shallow, but Tender Peach and I have been together for some 6 years now, after much fiddling about with inferior cream-to-power suitors. And when Tender Peach (good old shade #2!) and I met for the very first time. … That, my friends, was Love.
As a last resort, I was forced to pick up some oddly red-based ‘natural beige’ (how uninspiring!) New Complexion, but damned if I will not hunt the web for every single discount discontinued makeup site there is. I will stash compacts away and pray for their shelf life.
Maybe one day I will learn to love again.
Maybe.
But Tender Peach will never be forgotten.

[...] Farewell, Tender Peach. [...]
